Hi there, I'm James. I've been writing for about 25 years but I didn't release my first novel until 2019. That novel, Ziggurat, is available for free online. Right now it's my Wards of Minera series that takes up most of my time, with the conclusion to that series expected sometime later this year. I'm also a semi-prolific short story and flash fiction writer, writing mainly in the sci-fi, fantasy and horror genres. Some of those are here too under the Stories tab.

I have other creative pursuits too; I wrote the HTML for this website and a great deal of work went into making it look like it's from 1995. Outside of those things, I spend my days cycling, swimming and hiking with my girlfriend and my dog here in British Columbia.
