Hi there, I'm James. I've been writing for about 25 years but I didn't release my first novel until 2019. That novel, Ziggurat, is available for free online! Now it's my Wards of Minera series that takes up most of my time these days, with the conclusion, Landfall expected some time in 2026. I'm also a semi-prolific short story and flash fiction writer, writing mainly in the sci-fi, fantasy and horror genres.

I have other creative pursuits too; I design my own book covers -- and I think they're OK! 👍 The website you're reading this on is nothing fancy but I wrote the HTML for it myself and I'm proud of it. Outside of those things, I spend my days cycling, swimming and hiking here in Victoria, Canada.
